How to create invoices in Tiwix?

Tiwix wisely offers the option to create invoices making possible to cover an important accounting function: invoicing your clients with the cost of hours and expenses related to single projects.
Since this is one of the most required feature after time tracking, let me show you how it works in 8 simple steps:
1. First of all you should select “Invoices” to open the invoices module and click on “New” to open the invoice dialog.

On the left side (in the tools menu) you will find the search filters, on the right side you will find the overview table.
2. In the dialog window select: Project or Code (you can give a univocal code to identify the invoice) and click on “Create”.

3. The invoice management mask will appear, which contains the following three tabs: “Invoice Management”, “Hours” and “Expenses” to be included in the invoice. The “Invoice Management” mask contains all the general information related to the invoice an its lifecycle.

4. To add the registered hours to the invoice, click on “Hours” tab. Then will appear a list containing the hours currently associated to the invoice. N.B. if the list is empty there are no hours associated yet.

5. In the dialog window you have to select:
>> Employee: name of the employee or “All” if you want to add all of your employees’ hours working on the same project
>> Period: insert the period, then click on “Run report”

6. A list will appear containing the hours to link to the invoice. You can now select them from the list by clicking on the check box. When all the hours have been selected click on the “Add” button to add the selection. After this the “Invoice Management” mask will appear again. To link additional hours to the invoice or to unlink existing ones, you can repeat the same procedure.

7. To link expenses to the invoice, just click on the “Expenses” tab and repeat the same procedure as you did for the hours.

8. After having added the hours and expenses to your invoice you might want to export it from Tiwix to a supported file format. Select the invoice you would like to export and select the invoice format you would like to export in the drop-down list. Click on the icon to export it.
N.B. file formats like MS Word, MS Excel and PDF requires that you have the application installed on your computer.

Here are your invoice in the desired format. You can personalize it uploading your corporate logo under “Configuration”.
